We have learned with regret of the death of Mr. Frank Gurney, M.I.E.E., which occurred on November 27th at a London hospital, after a brief illness.

Mr. Gurney, whose appointment as home sales manager was announced recently by Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Company, Ltd., bad been with that company for over thirty years.

He was educated at Keighley Grammar School and received his engineering training with the Yorkshire Electric Power Company.

Mr. Gurney was chairman of the North Midland Centre of the Institution of Electrical Engineers in 1941-2.
