Francis Edward Caws (21 August 1846 - 8 April 1905) was an architect, latterly based in Sunderland.
He designed the Seaview Pier, a suspension-bridge type of structure. Of remarakably light construction, it lasted for 70 years before being badly damaged in a storm.
