'...the Partnership which subsisted between us the undersigned, Francis Newton the elder, Thomas Newton, and Francis Newton the younger, as Merchants and Manufacturers of Cutlery, at Sheffield, in the county of York, under the firm of Francis Newton and Sons, expired by effluxion of time, on the 31st of December last, and the same is determined and dissolved so far as relates to the said Francis Newton the elder, who retires therefrom...'[1]
