Forder and Co

Late 1860s Frederick Forder, coachbuilder and Hansom cab maker may have built a number of velocipedes based on the heavy wooden-wheeled Michaux design. Alfred Forder won several races at the Molineux Hotel grounds on his Michaux style velocipede.

1886 The company was registered on 14 October, to take over the business of the firm of the same name, as cab and carriage manufacturers, carried on at Wolverhampton and London.

1888 'Forder Brothers have no connection with Forder and Co'.[1]

1894 In April, the business of Forder Brothers was acquired. [2]
