1908 Importation of the Ford Model T lorry from the USA.

1911 Assembly started of the Model T lorry at Trafford Park, Manchester and continued in production until 1927.

WW1 Makes Bren-gun carriers and half-tracked vehicles; general service 15cwt trucks and 4x4 forward control 3ton trucks.

1929 The name Fordson was adopted.

1931 Production moved from Trafford Park to Dagenham

1957 The name of Thames Trader was introduced and continued until 1965.

1965 First of the Transit vans produced. Originally made in Belgium and assembled in Slough.

1975 A move in to the really heavy duty range with the H series for 32-44 ton with a Cummins engine, a gearbox from Fuller and they were assembled in Amsterdam but moved to Sandbach in 1982.

1986 Iveco took control of all Ford commercial vehicles.
