1881 The gas company was formed
c.1900 the gas undertaking was acquired by the Aldershot gas company.
c.1906 Production ceased; a bulk supply was taken from Aldershot, Ash Road.
The Lynchford Lane site became the centre for workshops and for electricity generation, as well as gas storage.
