1333 Founded

1633 Re-Modelled by Hugh Crossing, Mayor.

Formerly in the medieval buildings of St John’s Hospital

1876 Henry Newport, the Headmaster, resigned. His successor, Edward Harris, re-opened the school in 1877 and the school moved to its present site at Victoria Park Road.
