1880 April 21st. Married at Holy Trinity, Brompton, to Florence Lucy Bernal Tremenheeve the daughter of Hugh Seymour Tremenheeve. ELB is the son of Ernest Leigh Bennett, Senior, a Clerk in Holy Orders.

1881 Living at 21 Hans Place, Chelsea: Ernest L. Bennett (age 32 born Long Sutton, Lincolnshire), Managing Director of British Xylonite Co. With his wife Florence L. Bennett (age 22 born Park Lane, Mddx.). Two servants.[1]

1883/4 retired from British Xylonite Co

1892 Appears in bankruptcy court.[2]

1912 Letter published from Japan.[3]

1932 February 18th. Death of his wife (widow) Florence Bernal Leigh-Bennett of 34 Chaucer Road, Bath.[4]
