From Graces Guide

1963 Wickman merged its subsidiary making welding electrodes, Arc Manufacturing, with the welding division of English Electric Co, to form a joint venture English Electric-Arc Welding Co Ltd[1]

1966 English Electric acquired Wickman's 50 percent interest in English Electric-Arc Welding Co[2]. English Electric integrated the business with its related activities in Accrington and Liverpool.

1969 Acquired by Philips Electrical[3]
