1886 Fire at their premises, Dickens Street, Queens Road, Manchester [2]

1889 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, John Matthews Elliott and Walmsley Crabtree, carrying on business as Gum and Starch Manufacturers, at 2, Brown street, Manchester, and Miles Platting, under the style or firm of Elliott and Crabtree, has been dissolved, by mutual consent, as and from the 31st day of October, 1889. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said John Matthews Elliott, who will continue to carry on the business as heretofore, under the style or firm of Elliott and Crabtree...'[3]

1902 Partnership dissolved : J. M. Elliott, sen., W. Crabtree, and J. M. Elliott. jun. (Elliott and Crabtree), gum and starch manufactures, Marsden-street and Richard-street, Miles Platting, Manchester.[4]
