1816 Born in Westminster[1]

1851 Edward Phillips 35, commercial traveller, lived in Hanley and Shelton, in the house of Jacob Phillips 63, Elizabeth Phillips 60, with William Phillips 30, Fanny Phillips 4, Mary C Phillips 27, Elizabeth Phillips 19[2]

1861 Manufacturer of Glass chandeliers and china decorations, employing 25 men, 24 women, and 18 boys; unmarried, lived in Shelton.[3]

Formerly of the Worcester china works.

1877 He decided to revive the old glories of Derby china, and with partners re-established the Royal Crown Derby company.

1881 Lived in China Factory Villa, Osmaston Road, Derby, china manufacturer; his neighbour was Henry Litherland[4]

1881 December 15th. Died age 65.
