EDWARD JOSSELYN was associated with Messrs. A. Ransome and Company, Ltd., manufacturers of woodworking machinery, for thirty-two years.
He was born in London in 1877 and entered Messrs. Ransome's Chelsea works as an apprentice in 1895, and served until 1899, after which he entered the drawing office. Fifteen months later he became assistant works manager of the firm's works at Newark on Trent, and was later appointed works manager. He subsequently became a director of the firm, and was also a director of the Ransome and Marles Bearing Company.
In 1927 Mr. Josselyn left for Kenya and joined the partners of the Mount Elgon Saw Mills, Ltd., at Endebess. He became sole proprietor of the business in 1932.
His death occurred at Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia, on 17th September 1934.
Mr. Josselyn was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1900 and was transferred to Associate Membership in 1903.
