EDWARD ANDREWS, born at Kennington on the 7th October, 1838, died at Teddington on the 15th October, 1912.
After serving a pupilage with the late A. Martin, of Westminster, until 1857, he joined the engineering staff of the London and South Western Railway Company, in whose service he remained as Assistant and subsequently as Resident Engineer until his retirement in 1901, a period of 45 years.
Mr. Andrews was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 11th May, 1875, was subsequently placed in the class of Associate Members, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 31st May, 1881.
