1904 'SMITH, Edgar, Broad Street, Halifax. Cars: 6-h.p. Linou, 12-h.p. Darracq. Total distance travelled since becoming a motorist: About 8,000 miles. Hobbies: Cycling, hunting. Was one of the earliest motorists in the Halifax district, and is well-known amongst the West Riding motoring fraternity. Is an old racing cyclist, and at one time held many local records. Clubs: Yorks Road, Halifax Automobile.'[1]
