February 1905. Rothwell 10-12 h.p. car.

Rothwell were motorcycles produced in 1903 by the Eclipse Machine Co of Oldham in Lancashire.

The company had been established in 1872

1892 Exhibited at the 1892 Stanley Cycle Show with cycles with Nidderman tyres

In 1903 they produced a typical primitive with a small engine hung inclined from a bicycle frame downtube. It had belt drive and unbraced cycle forks. The machine was no more than a bicycle with an engine and was therefore very short lived.
