1947 Bio Note. Mr. RELF was apprenticed in the Royal Naval Dockyard from 1904 to 1909, and obtained the "Royal" Scholarship to the Royal College of Science. He joined the scientific staff of the National Physical Laboratory in 1912 and was superintendent of the aerodynamics division from 1925 to 1945. Mr. Relf is now Principal of the College of Aeronautics, Cranfield. [1]
