1885 Purchased by William Cuthbertson, J.P.

1886 R. Fife joined the business

1893 Archibald M. Burnie joined the business.

1910 Moved to Edinburgh

1922 Business of growing and selling of all kinds of Garden Seeds, specialising in selected strains of Vegetables and Flowers for Competition; noted as experts in Sweet Peas and Scotch Seed Potatoes. Also the Nursery Department specialised in Dahlias, Pansies, Violas, Roses, Chrysanthemums, Fuchsias, Pelargoniums, and Vegetable Plants for Exhibition.

1934 Nursery established at Dalkeith
