1871 Living at Churchside, Methley, Yks: Thos Wm Embleton (age 61 born Newcastle-upon-Tyne), Viewer of Collieries. With his wife Caroline Ann Embleton (age 59 born Durham) and their eight children; Caroline Ann Embleton (age 34 born Rothwell); Isabell Embleton (age 32 born Rothwell); Emma Embleton (age 31 born Rothwell); Louisa Embleton (age 29 born Rothwell); Thos Wm Embleton (age 28 born Rothwell), Viewer of Collieries; Denis Maud Embleton (age 25 born Rothwell), Mechanical Engineer; Emily Maud Embleton (age 20 born Rothwell); and Henry Cawood Embleton (age 16 born Rothwell). Two servants.[1]

1889 Patent. Thomas William Luffy and Denis Embleton, of Leeds, improvements in the method of, and apparatus for checking and registering fares or charges chiefly applicable to tramcars and omnibuses.[2]

1909 March 1st. Died. Of Methley, Yorkshire, engineer. Probate to his brother Henry Cawood Embleton, mining engineer.
