Dejong and Co

From Graces Guide

1895 News item. 'IN our recent account of the New Theatre, Reading, we unintentionally made it appear that the Plastic Decoration and Papier Mache Co. acted with Messrs Dejong and Co., and shared with them the credit due for the fine fibrous plaster work. This was misleading, as the Plastic Decoration Co. did the whole of the plaster work, with the exception of a small barrel ceiling over the staircase. Messrs Dejong and Co. put in this, and painted the fibrous plaster work which the Plastic Decoration Co. erected throughout the whole of the interior of the theatre.'[1]
