Armstrong, Whitworth (then Mitchell) and Co., Ltd., Newcastle-on-Tyne, becoming Chief Designer, Yard Manager and General Manager of their Walker Shipyard; 1920—General Manager, Wood, Skinner and Co.; large experience in the design and construction of all classes of Steamers, including Icebreakers, Railway Ferries, Tankers, etc. Active Member of Tyne Shipbuilders' Assoc. and Shipbuilding Federation; Commission in Volunteer Force, 1897.
