1981 The name of Crosfields and Calthrop Ltd was changed to Dalgety Spillers Foods Ltd[2].
1987 The name of Dalgety Spillers Foods Ltd was changed to Homepride Foods Ltd; the company included certain Dalgety businesses: packaged flour and sauces, Romix, Pearce Duff and Sundora Foods[3]
1987 Dalgety acquired Golden Wonder, potato crisp manufacturers.
1989 The name of Homepride Foods Ltd was changed to Dalgety Spillers Foods Ltd[4]
1993 Dalgety Foods Ltd, a subsidiary of Dalgety, was transferred into a new company Dalgety Spillers Foods Ltd.[5]
1995 Dalgety bought Felix Pet Foods, the European pet foods arm of Quaker Oats, which it added to the Spillers operations[6], making it the second largest petfood business in Europe.
In the late 1990s, following the BSE crisis in the UK, Dalgety entered into a series of disposals.
1995 Dalgety sold Golden Wonder to its management
Dalgety retained the brand rights for the production of pre-prepared cooking sauces. The Homepride sauces brand was acquired by the Campbell Soup Company in 1995.
1997 Dalgety sold its food ingredients and Spillers flour milling operations to the Kerry Group
1997 Dalgety sold its pet foods business to Nestlé.
1998 The name of Dalgety Spillers Foods was changed to Friskies Petcare (U.K) Ltd
2002 Friskies Petcare (U.K) Ltd was renamed Nestle Purina Petcare (U.K.) Ltd
