1906 Born in Wolston, Warks. the son of Arthur James Lord, a Building Contractor, and his wife Amelia Lavinia Ponsford

1911 Living at Wolston near Coventry: Arthur James Lord (age 36 born Coventry), Building Contractor - Employer. With his wife Amelia Lavinia Lord (age 37 born Sandon, Staffs.), and their six children; William John Lord (age 12 born Wolston); Arthur James Lord (age 10 born Coventry); Gwendoline Lord (age 9 born Coventry); Evelyn Laura Lord (age 8 born Coventry); Muriel Larinia Lord (age 6 born Coventry); and Cyril Maudslay Lord (age 4 born Coventry).[1]

1970 Died. 'MR. CYRIL LORD, the former managing director of Coventry Motor Mart Ltd., has died aged 64, after a long illness. Mr. Lord, who lived at 34, The Firs, Kenilworth Road, Coventry, was connected with the company, which was started by his father, for most of his life. He retired two years ago because of illness. In his youth Mr. Lord was a keen motorcyclist and took part in speedway riding at Brandon Stadium. Mr. Lord waves a widow, three married daughters and a married son.'[2]
