1937 Mentioned. Cramic Engineering Co. Ltd. of Southall. Malcolm Crabbe and Frank Crabbe are directors.[1]
By 1957 was a subsidiary of Ever Ready (Holdings). As well as providing specialised engineering for the parent company, the company also carried out work for outside customers. Had developed special machines for Sculpture Milling, carving items out of solid metal; these developments were of interest to companies working for the aircraft industry as well as aircraft makers[2]
1959 Addition to the factory at Southall.
1963 Land occupied by Cramic Engineering Works, Tipton, Staffs, was registered by The Ever Ready Company (Great Britain) Limited.[3]
1965 Advertising for machine tool designers, general engineering designers, detail draughtsmen, at Bridge Road, Southall. [4]
1967 Advert: 'CRAMIC ENGINEERING CO. LTD. MACHNE TOOL DIVISION. This company has now established a firm position in the rapidly expanding American and European tool markets. Our products include numerically controlled milling, drilling and boring machines of the travelling gantry type and, in order to ensure the continuous development of these and also to develop other types of N.C. machines, we require the following staff.....'[5]
1968 Ever Ready continued to make capital investment in its Engineering Division with new factory at Tipton and was building new plants at Banbury and Port Talbot; expansion in the USA and establishment of a US subsidiary there; many aircraft had been built with the aid of Cramic machines or incorporating Cramic components[6]
1969 Secured an order from the US aerospace industry for "super profiling machines"[7]

Cramic Engineering Limited of Banbury, Oxfordshire. require a small number of mediate level Engineers to work under the guidance of senior engineers.

According to Companies House filings, Cramic (Machinery and Spares) Ltd was registered between 1969 and 1981, later becoming part of Chemical and Carbon Products Ltd.
