1814 Business established in a factory at Timberhill in Norwich. Later moved to other addresses in Norwich.

They also employed many outworkers who made brushes from home.

A range of industrial shoes, boots and clogs were also made by Cooks, including special footwear for local manufacturer such as Colman's and Caley's.

20th century: last but one MD was G. W. Jackson Cook.

Alfred Pitt was the last managing director, before it was sold as a going concern.

1960 Cooks (Norwich) Brushes Ltd. of Davey Place[1]

1963 After this, no reference was found in the press to Cooks (Norwich) Brushes.

1984 Cooks Brushes (Norwich) Ltd was incorporated

Business was marketing of brushes

2009 Company removed from the register of companies.
