Competition Classics

From Graces Guide

Competition Classics are motorcycles that have been in production since 1991.

The company was formed by Clive Tomkinson to produce spares for the older Villiers engine units used in trials and scrambles. This progressed to an improved ignition system, glass-fibre body parts, brake drums and then the Villiers Starmaker engine and Metal Profiles forks.

Following the restoration of a rare Starmaker Métisse, repeated requests for replicas brought Tomkinson to the point of becoming a manufacturer. He produced these using a frame built from nickel plated Reynolds 531 tubing and a much improved engine inside copies of the original exteriors. This lovely replica was made available in many sporting forms.
