Coleorton Tramway

From Graces Guide

The railways connected with the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal had a total length of about 12 miles

1805 Lines opened. One line ran from the canal basin at Willersey, through Ashby and under Ashby Common in a tunnel. At the northern end of the tunnel the line divided: a branch ran to Ticknall lime works, with a branch to Heath End; the other part continued to Cloud Hill lime works. Previous to this the Coleorton tramway was in use.

By 1924 the Coleorton Tramway was still use, connecting to the Midland Railway at Worthington on the west side and to the Swannington Incline on the east side.
