1991 The company was launched as a worker-owned enterprise, operating buses in Glasgow, Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire.[1]

1994 Clydeside 2000 was taken over by British Bus via one of its subsidiary companies. At the time the company was running a fleet of 330 buses and employed a staff of 740.[2].
