1922 Company founded. From an early date, company was owned by Clarke, Chapman and Co[1].

1937 Crane manufacturers and general engineers.

1937 Clyde Crane and Booth formed, to buy out Clyde Crane and Engineering Co from Clarke, Chapman and Co.

1961 Acquired Cowans, Sheldon and Co

1968 Taken over by Clarke, Chapman and Co, to form the nucleus of its new Crane and Bridge Division.
