CLIVE EARNSHAW HOWELL was for many years a director of Messrs. Howell and Company, steel tube manufacturers, Sheffield.
He was born in Sheffield and educated privately. He attended classes at the Technical School, Sheffield, from 1899 to 1903, when he joined his father's firm. He was appointed a director in 1910, holding this position until 1928, when he retired owing to ill health. During the War he served in France with the Cameron Highlanders.
He died at Ottinge, near Canterbury, on 19th July 1933, in his fifty-first year. H
e had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1914.
