Clark, Forde, and Taylor

1868 In September, Charles Tilston Bright and Josiah Latimer Clark dissolved their partnership. Clark with Henry Charles Forde (1827–1897) formed the contracting firm originally known under the title of Clark, Forde and Co; Herbert Arnaud Taylor was a pupil of Clark's from 1867.

The firm later became Clark, Forde, and Taylor, of Great Winchester Street, London. Under Clark's supervision some 50,000 miles of submarine cable were laid across the world's oceans, linking capital cities and commercial ports.

Latterly the firm included Mr. C. Hockin.

The Mediterranean cable to India, the East Indian Archipelago cable to Australia, the Brazilian Atlantic cables were all laid under the supervision of this firm.

1913 Became Clark, Forde, Taylor and Erskine-Murray when James Robert Erskine-Murray became a partner

1918 Reverted to Clark, Forde and Taylor
