Henrietta Christabel Ellis (1886-1958)

1886 January 15th. Baptised in St. Helier, Jersey, the daughter of the Rev. William Charles Ellis and his wife Henrietta Elizabeth

1901 Living at 12 Wycliffe Mans, 65 Cadogan Gardens, Chelsea, London. With her mother Henrietta.[1]

1908 Miss Christabel Ellis in an Arrol-Johnston took third place in the first Brooklands race for women - The Ladies Bracelet Handicap. [2]

1915 An article states that 'Miss Christabel Ellis, sister of the Countess of Norbury and daughter of the Rev. the Hon. William Charles Ellis.'[3]

1916 Miss Christabel Ellis, cousin of Lord Howard de Walden, had been teaching girls to drive motor cars and vans for the War Office.[4]

1923 Married in Abingdon to Major Hector M. Ferguson

1958 December 4th. Died. Of Assynt House, Evanton, Dingwall, Highlands. Memorial in churchyard at Evanton.
