Borough Engineer to the Durban Corporation for seven months in 1897 during the absence in England of the Chief Engineer; Resident Engineer for Electric Tramways construction, 1893-1902; Town Engineer, Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia, 1902-4; Consulting and Representative Engineer to Salisbury Corporation and private practice, 1904 deputed by Durban Corporation, in conjunction with the Borough Electric Engineer, to visit the United Kingdom and report on electric tramways equipment. Chief Works: Waterworks, sewerage works and refuse destructors, electric lighting, electric and horse tramways, storm water drainage, bay, foreshore, sea reclamation and esplanade. War Services.—Actively employed in recruiting and on War Savings Certificates Committees, etc.
