CHARLES VIERECK WILSON served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Wellington and Dawson, general engineers, of South Lambeth from 1902-1907.
After spending several short periods with various firms in London and Colchester, he was appointed assistant day engineer in the monotype department of The Times in 1910.
Shortly after the outbreak of war he enlisted and was sent to France in November 1914. He remained on active service until 1918, and from 1920 until his demobilization in 1923 he was on Col. Hutchinson's mechanical transport inspection staff.
He started with Messrs. Vauxhall Motors in June 1923 as a tester, and for three years prior to his death, which occurred on 16th January 1930, he was senior assistant to the chief inspector.
Mr. Wilson was born in 1887 and he became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1920.
