Training: James Jack and Co., Liverpool. Six years at sea; Junior to Chief Engr.; Extra Chief Engr.'s Cert.; afterwards Cons. Engr., and acted for Canada Shipping Co. and Rathbone Brothers; designed and supervised the construction of Atlantic liners and liners to the East, fast turbine cross-channel steamers, yachts, etc. Club: Primrose, London.
