Charles George Carolin was born in 1893 and was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, where he obtained his B.A. degree.
On leaving the University, he was appointed to a commission in the R.A.S.C., and subsequently in the Royal Engineers, and served in France until demobilisation in 1919.
He was then appointed Assistant Designer in the Experimental Drawing Office at Rolls-Royce and in 1925 obtained a position as Engineer to the Port Trust at Madras.
He died in India on 18th October, 1927.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1920
