1942 'A happy ceremony took place on the premises of Carlux Electrical Services. Ltd., Nicholas-street on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Ranson, of Head Office. was presented with....on her retirement from the firm. Miss Ranson has been with the firm for 19 years, and is the daughter of Mr. John Ranson. 41, White Friars.'[2]
