By 1976 Guinness's confectionery subsidiary was referred to as Callard and Bowser, Nuttall[1] - included Callard and Bowser, William Nuttall, Riley Brothers (Halifax)[2]

1980 Doncaster factory closed[3]

1982 Callard and Bowser, Nuttall, which was losing money, was sold to Beatrice Foods of Chicago[4]; combined with Smith Kendon.

1988 Acquired by United Biscuits[5]

1993 United Biscuits sold its confectionery group to Kraft General Foods; this included Terry's, Callard and Bowser, Nuttalls, Smith Kendon, Chocometz, Aura[6]

2004 Acquired by Wrigley's
