1909 Founded to produce automotive castings by Alfred Bartlett Smith (1892-1969) and his brother Clifford Ross Smith (1890-1963).[1]

1937 Ironfounders. [2]

1965 Became part of GKN Forgings and Castings. Julian R. Smith is MD.[3]

1971 Acquired by Birmid Qualcast, became part of that company's foundries divisio[4]

1982 By now it was part of Birmid Qualcast (Foundries). Specialised in cylinder heads and general engineering.[5]
