1904 'NIXON, C. Basil, A.M.I.M.E., is managing director of the Manchester Motor Transport Company, Ltd., and a member of the L.P.S.T.A.'[1]

1907 Lancashire Steam Motor Co changed its name to Leyland Motors

1923 Appointed deputy MD

1944-45 President of the SMMT

1957 Retired as chairman of Leyland Motors on his 80th birthday

1962 Retired as director of Leyland Motors

1970 7th July. Died aged 93 years.[2]
