1880 Supplied 3 ft diameter rolls, 16 ft long, each weighing 16 tons, for armour plate rolling in Sheffield.
1902 The company was registered on 23 January, to acquire the business of ironfounders and engineers of a firm of the same name. 
1942 British Rollmakers Corporation established to merge 3 rollmaking companies: R. B. Tennent Limited of Coatbridge; C. Akrill and Co Limited of West Bromwich; and Thomas Perry and Son Limited of Bilston.
After 1951, work was gradually transferred to the new Midland Rollmakers plant at Crewe and the West Bromwich plant was closed.
