1863 Andrew Betts Brown bought an old brewery in London which he converted into an engineering works

1867 'The crane is the patented invention of Mr. A. B. Brown C.E., of the firm of Brown, Wilson, and Co., Vauxhall Ironworks, London, by whom it was constructed.'[3]
