c.1980 Bass and Whitbread formed a new company called Britannia Soft Drinks that would handle the soft drinks interests of the 2 groups; Whitbread contributed R. Whites and Rawlings as well as the UK interests of Canada Dry; Bass was the major partner and would manage the business[1]

1981 The Canada Dry and Rawlings businesses were brought together as Canada Dry Rawlings

1986 Acquired Britvic Soft Drinks[2]

1987 Britannia acquired the major part of the soft drinks arm of Beecham Group forming Britvic Corona
