1903 Incorporated as a Limited Company.

1914 Directors: Arthur E. Archer (Chairman and Managing Director), Harry Le Marchant, G. Oscar Dollfus, Thos. Whitham. Staff: 400 to 500. Specialities: Boot Protectors. Paragon lasts for home repairs. Cricket and Golf Spikes and Circular Studs. Patents: Several. Own over a hundred Trade-mark Registrations at home and abroad.

1935 Blakey's Boot Protectors Ltd had several subsidiaries and acquired Pennine Chain Belt Co[1]

1952 Products included rubber shoe tips and protectors. "It owns all the capital of Pennine Chain Belt Co, Thomas Francis and Co., John Giles and Sons, Henry Richmond and Sons, and Booth Brothers"[2]

1962 "In the face of rising costs, unstable prices and labour shortages, Blakey's Boot Protectors, Ltd., have achieved record figures for the year to end-March last..."[3]
