Benjamin Wrightson Head (c1875-1917)
Born the son of Jeremiah Head.[1]
1904 Went into partnership with his brother Archibald Potter Head
1911 Living at The Crossways, Guildford Rd, Woking: Benjamin Wrightson Head (age 36 born Redcar), Managing Director of Engineering Co - Employer. With his wife Gladys Hamelton.[2]
1917 Died. 'Mr Benjamin Wrightson Head, whose death is announced from South Africa at the early of 42, had associations with the North of England. Entering the firm of Jeremiah Head and Son, 47, Victoria Street, London, he subsequently became sole partner. He also formed the business of Wellman, Seaver, and Head. Ltd., and the work which this company did under his guidance in pushing the use of electrically-driven charging machines and other apparatus in steelworks is well known. Mr Head was nephew of Mr C. A. Head, of the Teesside firm of Head, Wrightson and Co.'[3] See also[4]
