1901 Living at Brownleys, Latton, Essex: Benjamin Edward Todhunter (age 35 born Opowa, New Zealand), Mechanical Engineer - Employer. With his wife Ethel Christian Todhunter (age 28 born kanti, India) and their son Edward Joseph Todhunter (age 5 months born Harlow). Three servants.[2]

1911 Living at The Wayre, Harlow, Essex: Benjamin Todhunter (age 45 born Canterbury, New Zealand), Mechanical Engineer. With his wife Christine Todhunter (age 38 born madras, India) and their two children Robert Todhunter (age 7 born Harpenden) and Infant (female) Todhunter (age 1 month born Harlow). Five servants.[3]

1918 Benjamin Edward Todhunter J. P., Managing Director of the Cotton Powder Co was awarded the O.B.E. [4]
