Belfast and Northern Counties Railway

1845 Incorporated for a railway from Belfast to Ballymena with branches to Carrickfergus and Randelstown.
On 15 May 1860 the Belfast and Ballymena Railway became known as the Belfast and Northern Counties Railway (BNCR)
1868 Con. Engineer is Charles Lanyon; Res. Engineer is Phineas Howell.[1]
1874 Resident Engineer is Edward Collins. Supt of locos is Edward Leigh.

1889 Engineer is Berkeley D. Wise. Loco Supt is Bowman Malcolm.[2]
1903 Amalgamated with the Midland Railway. Administered by the Northern Counties Committee
