The Valuable MACHINERY, a Twenty-four-Horse Power BEAM-ENGINE, a Three-Horse Power DITTO, WORKING IMPLEMENTS and UTENSILS in TRADE, the whole being of the most modern and improved construction, and now in excellent working condition.
The Turning, Fitting, and Boring Rooms contain a capital Planing Machine, by Collier and Co., with 14 feet Bed, 4 feet 2 inches wide; Treble-geared Slide Lathe, with Face Plate 8 feet diameter, 18 feet Bed, by Nasmyth, Gaskell, and Co., for turning Cylinders 5 feet diameter and 15 feet long; Double-geared Slide Lathe, with 30 feet Bed, with Compound Slide Rest, for turning Spheres, &c., by Hodgson and Co.; Fifteen-inch Double-geared Ditto, 18 feet Bed, by Whitworth and Co., with Compound Slide Rest and Reverse Motion, for Screw Cutting; Two Ten-inch Ditto, with and 10 feet Beds; a Ditto, with 23 feet Bed. Face Plates from 10 inches to 4 feet; Twelve-inch Ditto, 16 feet Wood Bed. with Boring Rod and Carriage; capital Boring Machine, with Boring Bar 14 inches in diameter, 15 feet long ; a Ditto, 7 inches diameter, and 15 feet long; an excellent Screwing Machine, with Tap and Dies, from 3/8 to 2 1/4 inches; Vertical Drilling Machine, Boiler-maker’s Ditto, Ranges of Polished Shafting, for driving the above Machinery, Benches, Vices, and a large Assortment of Tools.
In the Foundry and Yard the 24-horse power Condensing Beam-engine, with Boiler and Iron Cistern, pair of Blowing Cylinders, Three powerful Wood-framed Cranes, with Double Purchases, Chains, and Blocks, Three Cupolas, Two Drying Stoves, Pair Grinding Stones for Sand, large Air Furnace, powerful Punching Press, Casting Boxes, Loam Rings, Core Bars, Boiler-maker’s Four-wheeled Truck, Crab inches, &c.
