1874 Company set up by Thomas Bayliss, John Thomas and John Slaughter building 'Ordinary' cycles at works in Earl Street and Much Park Street, Coventry.

1881 Employing 180 hands [1]

c.1882 Slaughter left the business and it became Bayliss, Thomas and Co, although he remained as a director.
