Part of Bristol Harbour.

It was part of a link connecting the Floating Harbour with the River Avon New Cut. The exit to the New Cut has long been sealed off at the New Cut end of the locks, and the lock gates have largely rotted away. The Bathurst Basin Swing Bridge no longer swings, and a new road bridge has been built alongside.
