At the Bridgewater Anns, in Manchester, at four of the Clock in the Afternoon, Friday the 8th Day of August, 1794,
A FREEHOLD ESTATE, containing 6000 Square Yards, of land, on Part whereof is erected an Iron Foundery, called Shooter’s Brook Foundery, consisting of a Casting House, of 60 Feet by 30 Feet, which contains (besides convenient Room for others) two Air Furnaces, Cupola, and Stove, and to which are attached Shops for Drilling, Turning, and Joiners; also a large warehouse, having under it a Brass Foundery, and Smith's Shop.
The above Premises are close to the Town of Manchester, and most eligibly situated for further buildings, either for the Iron or Cotton Trade, as one Side thereof will be the Ashton Canal, and on the other Side the Rochdale Canal. ... Mr. Bassett, of Ancoats Lane, in Manehefter, will shew the Premifes,.....'[1]
